Wellness Empowered Yoga

Overview

Wellness Empowered Yoga is a practice led by a dedicated instructor aiming to expand her reach in Pittsburgh. Previously relying entirely on social DMs, word of mouth, and manual spreadsheets to manage class bookings, the instructor needed a digital home to establish her brand, and share her teaching philosophy.

The primary goal was to design an experience that felt as calming and grounding as stepping into a yoga studio, while offering robust functionality to convert casual site visitors into recurring students.

The Challenge

Establishing a brand and digital footprint from scratch.

• Create a calming visual identity utilizing soft earth tones, breathable whitespace, and approachable typography that reflects the brand ethos.
• Prioritize a mobile-first approach, as user research indicated that over 80% of the client's current students were booking classes on their phones.
• Integrate a seamless third-party form (EverestForms) so students could inquire about a variety of classes, with minimal friction.

Design Process

I began by collaborating with the instructor to define her brand voice and visual direction. We established a style guide centered around the logo's color scheme. With the brand foundation set, I mapped out a streamlined site architecture focused on two main user journeys: learning about the practice and contacting the instructor.

In Figma, I developed wireframes and high-fidelity mockups. Custom CSS was used within Wordpress to style the content and have it seamlessly blended with the rest of the site's aesthetics.
